Wow it’s been awhile since I’ve last posted and that had
been about the book Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Well, I did read it and was taken
back from how unlike it was from the movie. Boy was it different and it really
shouldn’t have surprised me since books, and movies are always different but
this was a drastic difference. The movie was obviously americanized for I guess
American tastes, though I would have loved to have seen some of the things that
were in the book. When Coraline goes down in the cellar would have definitely
been one of them. Beyond the differences, I enjoyed the fantasy and the mystery
that was Coraline… I couldn’t help but root for young Coraline as she battled
with the other mother plus her smart mouth had me laughing out loud quite a few
times. This was a splendid read and would recommend it for anyone whom wants a
few good laughs :)
